Is the 4 gb 360 a good console

I am thinking of getting a 4gb 360 in a few months but i want to know if they are good. I also have a ps3 so i will only get 360 exclusives like mass effect and tmnt arcade. i want to know if the sytem will work ok if the most i play a day is 4 hours and if it has a tower fan behind it sucking the hot air and its also not standing ?

4gb isn't very much memory. Personally, I'd splash out the extra for a bigger hard drive.

I don't know if it is. If you're a mostly PS3 player than you probably don't need the extra space.

It might actually not be all that bad. Does anyone know if you can load games onto an external harddrive or load DLC and play off of it onto an external?

Personally, I'd go for the 250gb model, or maybe get an older 360 (I bet you can get a 20gb model pretty cheap now). Thing is is that you will undoubtably want to go online eventually, and if you get the 4gb version, that will involve getting the 250gb harddrive seperate. They usually cost more than the difference between the 4gb and the 250gb model.

I have the 250GB New 360, The tower fan is not necessary, mine stays on a lot (I have 2 kids and I still like to play games) The wifi is a nice add on, If you are not going to be primarily using it, 4B should be enough, and if not, an external HDD is an option.

I use a 16GB flash drive and have no problem putting games and the sort on it...

It really depends on what your needs are. Most games+DLC barely scrape the 4GB level. Some games, like Mass Effect 2, will put it over 4GB. I've got all DLC for Mass Effect 2, all of it together+the game puts it at over 5GB and the next story DLC will put it closer to 7GB. Also depends if you plan on installing the game itself onto the 360.

Like Dimmerwit said, it is a waste if you're primarily a PS3 gamer. I would say, if you're not, buy the 250GB console because you will most likely want the 250GB hard drive later on.

i run my xbox pretty much all day everyday, never really had a problem with it, until my black ops quit reading, other than that 4gb is not much memory, but at the same time, if you want a good xbox for less than an elite get it

i have a 16 gb, and its not a lot of room. i play mine all the time and it doesnt have the fan and runs nice. go for the elite or the arcade, i would look for the long term, 4 gb 360 is good if you want to erase stuff in a few months. with 16 or 250 gb you're set for a couple years. and with DLC, those take up a lot of room on your hard drive.
