Why do they sell cards with codes for DLC then? People must buy them otherwise they wouldn't be on store shelves. If you would like examples, I can provide some.

1) Young people who don't own credit/debit cards
2) (on Xbox) prevents wasting points
3) Better as a gift
4) Allows people not in an official Live/PSN region to get downloads (points/money cards don't always work as well)
5) Allows children to obtain downloads from their parents with sharply increased effectiveness
6) Because MS/Sony don't want to piss off brick and mortar...yet...

The only DLC cards I ever saw were the ones packed in games as bonuses or store specific preorder bonuses. I never seen any that were for sale.
