This is the vote topic for the Favorite Video Game of 2011 Award. Nominations are drawn from the corresponding nomination thread. This award goes to the best video game of the 2011 calendar year based on your votes.

I know nothing whatsoever about Deus EX or Skyrim.

I do know that Portal 2 is tremendously entertaining and perplexing.

And hilariously funny. Oh, yes.

Interesting that there are no votes for Skyrim yet.

I'm going for Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Although any of these games (or Batman Arkham City) would be worthy winners, HR basically took one of the best games of all time and made it even better.

I went for Portal 2. It's the only game in a while to make me play start to finish without taking breaks to try out a different game. I also barely took breaks from it.

Prertty much the same here, except I was side-tracked by Journey.

I was pretty close to the end, and I'm still stuck on the battle with  Wesley . I know what to do, but I keep running out of time. So after a few tries and a few more fails I play a round of Journey, which only taakes an hour or so. Then I go back to Portal 2. I still have tons of single player trophys to gather too, so I'll be enjoying it for a while yet.

I'll edge Portal 2 over Human Revolution. Just.

Portal 2 fo sho! Skyrim was good but very few games were as great as Portal 2. League of it's own.

Plus, Skyrim (I assume) doesn't have a funny, kick-ass song to go with its end credits.

Having played a bit more of Human Revolution, I'm less disappointed it only has two votes, just based on its horrendous boss fights. Still, Skyrim is quite a lot better than Portal 2.
