I have a real fondness for the Sega Mega Drive. It was sleek and black and it had a ton of amazing games. And I loved the sound chip that it used- it did that bass-heavy, twanging guitar sound a gazillion times better than the SNES.

PS3 for me.

The PS3 obviously has many more features than previous consoles, so as a piece of technology it is my favorite. I can play video games, watch Netflix, and watch Blue-ray movies. You can't do that on SNES.

Now, if video games are the only thing being examined, then I would say Sega Genesis. Some of my favorite video game experiences, along with some of my first ever, were on that console and I continue to play it and love it. The original Sony PlayStation would be a close second.

I can play games on it, watch Blu Ray movies, Netflix, and plug a 360 controller into it to play some games.

Sounds like a console.

It's a platform...Not really a console.

SNES. U.N. Squadron, Chrono Trigger, Street Fighter II, Final Fight II, etc, etc, etc.

This was the true golden age of gaming. Best. System. Evar.

I'm with this guy. SEGA has always been number one for me.. it's a shame what's become of them.

Also i wish the rest of the world would start calling it by it's real name, the SEGA GENESIS!

I quite liked my Sega Saturn.

Xbox 360 is the one that I have got most use out of, though.

Hey everybody! Come look at the freaks who like the Genesis over the SNES! But seriously, you guys are crazy.

I'm too young. I didn't really "grow up" on the SNES because I never had one. I blame my brothers though, they were older and the ones picking out the systems.
