Not too much has been announced about what the DLC is about, but the Bethesda Softworks press release did say this:
"As the victim of a raw deal you must work alongside three other captured wastelanders to recover the legendary treasure of the Sierra Madre Casino. In Dead Money, your life hangs in the balance as you face new terrain, foes, and choices. It is up to you how you play your cards in the quest to survive."

New terrain, foes, and choices are all most Fallout fans will want and need. Working with more companions should be a good experience as it usually is in Fallout games. We just have to wait and see what other surprises this DLC will offer in December.

I am pretty sad that it will not be available for PlayStation users, but it should come in time.

Most of you guys are probably going to get this, right?

It will come out for ps3 and pc users. They just have a thing going with microsoft that the 360 gets it first for a while. Probably after a month it will come out for everyone.

Sorry, I don't know how I messed up on the title. If a mod could please change it to "Fallout: New Vegas DLC Announced - "Dead Money""

That is probably a low guess. Remember it took almost a year for any of the fallout 3 dlc's to come out for the ps3. That was a screw job.

That was because there originally was going to be no DLC on PS3.

This is planned from the start as a timed exclusive, so us PC + PS3 users will be waiting for far less than a year. Also, it's a blessing in disguise, since by then they'll have fixed all of the bugs!

That's what we thought when the Fallout 3 DLC came out.

I'm pretty sure that the delay was six months. Certainly not a year. I'm also sure that the GOTY edition was released on PS3 at the same time as Xbox. I'd guess 9-10 months since that was released.
Why am I racking my brains here, I could just look the dates up on google. So could you (who? anyone/everyone. but not me :p ), for that matter.

Oh, and Assassins Creed Brotherhood has no "2" in the title.

It was eight months from the first 360 DLC to the first PS3 one.

We got a title for the first piece of Fallout New Vegas DLC last week. Now, more details about Dead Money have been revealed.

The content, coming out on Dec. 21, will have players going to try and find a lost city called Sierra Madre, "an opulent and extravagant resort that was supposed to be the greatest casino in the west." However, the opening of the casino came after the world was turned into the Wasteland. The bombs also turned the surrounding city into one inhabited by Ghost People, who are trapped in hazmat suits for life because of the pollution there.

Dead Money will have new NPCs and foes, such as the Ghost People and the casino's "substantial defense system." The quest will also be found the normal way, through radio broadcasts advertising the opening of the casino.

The content will cost 800 Microsoft Points.

Sounds cool to me. Although, I want more than just one new building to explore, but it sounds like there may be a good size area around it too.

I have to say that I was a little shocked when I first opened up my pipboy world map and found it to be fairly small. Grant it it doesnt feel small but I was still shocked just the same. With that said though do you guys think this city will just magically show up in the waste, or do you think it will be like the pitt dlc just a whole different location?
