I'm Afraid Not

A couple of strings walk into a bar after a long day of work, looking for a drink. They walk into a bar and the bar tender looks at them and says, "Can't you read the sign, NO STRINGS ALLOWED!"

Disappointed, they walk to another bar down the street. They walk to the bar tender and asks for a couple of beers. The bar tender says, "Can't you read, we don't serve strings here."

After they leave, the first string looks to the second string and says, "We are never going to get a drink looking like string, but I have an idea." So the first string tears and rips the end of his head so it is messy and stranded then walks back into the bar and orders a couple of beers.

The bar tender looks at him funny and says, "Hey, aren't you one of those strings I just threw out!" The string looks at the bar tender and replies, "No, I'm a frayed knot."

lol, I seem to like the random puns like that. You kind of blew the punch line with the line right after it about your typo . Either way, I like it!
