The game with more bugs or glitches

You never had a game were becouse of too much errors you were unable to advance or were you had to reset your playstation every time?

I've had two of those games actually... both on PS2.

1. Downforce (PAL)
Literally so buggy and glitchy that it can't be played, other than the default levels and cars you can't do anything in the game, the errors makes it impossible to progress in any way.
Saving is possible at random, but don't count on it because it only happens once in a blue moon if you're lucky.
Loading is not possible even if you manage to save your game.
I've bought five separate copies of this game and I've tested all five copies on five different PlayStation 2 units (four of them were the original PS2 models and one was the slimmed down PSTwo model), more than 10 different memorycards and a ton of different controllers (including PSX/PSOne controllers and different steeringwheel controllers), but no matter what I did all copies of the game had the exact same problems.

2. Rally Fusion: Race Of Champions (PAL)
Not a game that has any bugs at first glance and it'll run complete problem-free... until you reach one level.
It always freezes for me on this level once I've driven a few laps.
I haven't been able to progress to the end in the game because of this.
I have only tried one copy of the game and I bought it pre-owned/used/second-hand and it has some minor scratches on the disc (they're barely visable to the naked eye).
The same freezing problem has happened at other times as well, but they've all been one-time problems, never more than once, and simply wiping the disc with a normal disc-cloth, restarting the game and trying again would get me past them without any further problems.
It's just that one level where the game always freezes no matter what car I use, and always after a few laps.
I don't know if it's the game itself being glitchy or if one of those tiny scratches may be affecting it, but after cleaning the disc a million times without any results I'm beginning to think that maybe, just maybe, it may be the game.
I lost all my save-files a while ago so I can't check the name of the level or exactly when in the game you play it, but it's pretty far into the game.
Can anyone else who has the PAL version of this game confirm or deny this as an in-game bug?
