Burnout Paradise?

I know it's been out a while, but does anyone (still) play it? I finally decided to get it (so did Tom), and I've been playing it a bunch. I've been a fan of the Burnout series since the ORIGINAL, I got it with my Gamecube and fell in love. This was the first one I didn't get within a few weeks of coming out, mostly because I didn't have a PS3.

Once you get used to how it plays, with the free roams and stoplights and sh*t, it's actually pretty fun. I like the way collectibles work with the signs and jumps and fences. It's a lot of fun.

If anyone IS out there that knows the game well...

Tell me about the Road Rules scores? The offline ones I get, just default ones set by the computer or whatever, but what about the online ones? They can't be global, because a lot of the people on my friends list have them, and with all due respect to those people, a game that's been out this long is unlikely to have that many records set by people I know (let alone be easy for me to beat myself). But some of the names on the online listings I DON'T recognize. So what's the dillio?

Nah, I'm set with finding stuff and all that, The Eye in the Sky! and I explore and find everything, I might set up some GW races in the future.

But if you know the answer to my question about online times, that'd be super.

the online road rules should only show your friend who has the fastest time on that specific road

That's what I thought, but I don't recognize all the names. I even checked the "Players Met" list and none of them were on it.

Played it for 360 for a while. It was good...but not my favorite in the series.

I eventually got it like a few months ago and it was kinda hard to get used to it at first cause I used to play just burnout take down and then revenge but like this was a bit different without like actual barriers so you couldn't tell at times when you needed to turn for a race.

But yeah idk it was fun driving all around and finding secrets and stuff but well it just got boring for me. I don't really have any friends on my PS3 list (cause well I just got a PS3 earlier this year when the price dropped and I went out for the old style look of the PS3 cause it looks better in my opinion) but idk it just got old and iv basically found all the little things like stunt races and road rage places but I haven't beaten all of them thats for sure.

I just kinda got bored with it. It seemed to be this really great game with lots of like jumps (at least thats what I got from the gameplay videos WAY back when) but like there seemed to be a lack of jumps in this game and the way it was set up for races annoyed me cause if you make a wrong turn thinking you were suppose to go left and instead it was suppose to be right you can sometimes end up losing the race cause of that small factor.

I guess the free roam is fun but I kinda liked the barriers for races cause well then you could easily see where to go and not have to worry about looking at your map all the time. And I for sure don't want to memorize the layout of a face city just to be good at maps. I have a bad enough memory as it is to deal with college tests. lol

It is fun though just some levels don't have LONG roads where you could do drag races on them without having to slow down for certain turns or having to watch out for some civilian cars.

oh and btw I don't like paying for extra content so I don't get to go on the island or purcase some of the cool looking cars they have for sale. Im just cheap.
