Youngsmilez, don't state that a game is bad because you suck at it. I purchased Operation Flashpoint Dragon Rising and I couldn't be happier that I did. I assume you purchased it expecting a "Call of Duty" remake not an ACTUAL tactical shooter. Read up on games before you purchase them to avoid this mistake. Just because it's challenging doesn't mean it's a bad game. I'm thinkin' you won't be getting Demon's Souls either, eh?

I knifed a AI dude He was looking right at me... This was also in co op hardcore mode I am great in this faulty game it was fun but not worth 60 euros More like 10... You cant deny me on this... Finally someone else who has heard of this game. God I can't wait to get my hands on it.
And at Smilez, you shouldn't let one bad apple ruin the bunch. Just because you got one multiplatform game that you didn't like doesn't mean you should shy away from all of them. If you do that you'll miss out on some truly great games. |

Hahah no i didnt meean it like that im more like avoid the games that give you good publicity and then trick you when you buy it cuz i believe that reviewers get gr8 pay for hypin up stuff while there isnt even a demo or beta for the real gamers...
And multiplatform is great i hateed that NG2 was only on xbox i love Ryu Hayabussa hes the coolest action figure with no actin talent in the world of gamin followed by the master of coolness even when he is old mister Solid Snake Anyway im getting BFBC2 too so i like some of um but most games we own is crap especially if they is multiplatform Programmers are just out there for the money now it seems ive seen it in OFP The game didnt look that bad but the graphs were worse then BFBC1... So if i sum it all up with reviews and the rep of this game it was all about the money not the fans Cuz i mean were almost 2010 and you cant even rellease a futuristic game thats finished thats just bad And on demon souls.... Ive been wanting to get that game beginiing this year from japan but the online jap store wont send it to my country so i had to wait for it to come from the US Demon Souls is so Next gen its not even funny anymore to play any other game.... Cant wait for FF online hihi |

I still thoroughly enjoy Operation Flashpoint. F.Y.I., smilez, if you're driving fast in a huge transport truck and you turn, it will more than likely tip. They're not exactly made for sharp turns at high speeds. And no, the graphics aren't the best but the gameplay more than makes up for it. I have never played a more realistic and challenging war game. It's like being back in recruit training all over again. Anyway, Demon's Souls rocks my socks. I might be picking it up. I played it for a little while, it's tough as nails but a rewarding experience nonetheless.

BlackDawn had it right on the truck, anything going too fast is likely to skid or in worse cases roll over. You tried to make it turn left, it turned left... not the truck's fault it was going too fast to handle the turn at that speed. As for the knife, have you ever heard of anyone dying instantly from a single stab wound? If so, where did it hit, and did you hit that exact place on the "AI dude"? The game is about realism, the AI is supposed to be the most realistic ever produced according to the advertising blurb. Battlefield from what I hear is even LESS realistic than Call of Duty, so no wonder you couldn't get to grips with Operation Flashpoint. Whether it was on 360 or on PS3 you wouldn't have enjoyed it. And just in case you missed it, Ninja Gaiden 2 came out in Sigma form on the PS3 recently, with extra jiggly parts.

If you weren't speeding (something you had neglected to mention), maybe you just turned too quickly. Also, what would be your definition of "hardcore"? In most games it's just a difficulty mode, and while I don't play shooters the thought of stabbing someone and they're still looking right at me seems pretty hardcore.
Your first two posts were professing how bad Operation Flashpoint is, and saying that it's not a shooter like Call of Duty and Battlefield Bad Company isn't the best reason to conclude that it needs "fixing". First Person Shooters are games that are predominantly firearms based while you control the character, and Operation Flashpoint (while it is seemingly too realistic for your tastes) is actually under that banner. So what's better in ARMA II compared to Operation Flashpoint in terms of realism?

I haven't played either game (as I said before, I don't really play FPS), so it might be easier for me to understand what your gripes are if you gave some examples rather than just give a blanket answer like "all". I'd say the same about your points about Operation Flashpoint being a failure, because your only points have been the truck tipping and the failed knifing, which have logical explanations. Your point about graphics don't hold much water either, because unless enemies are popping up in front of you or something else is harming the gameplay, there's nothing wrong with them.
EDIT: Something like this is what I mean...

The trucks have realistic controls, if you turn too sharply it flips. Especially in grassy areas.
Also, ArmA: II is much better than Operation Flashpoint. I don't know about the realism, but in terms of graphics/gameplay it has got it beat. The explosions look amazing in ArmA:II. I mean look at this! The only problem is you need a very good computer to get decent frame rates. I didn't even attempt to read what YoungSmiles wrote... |

you know if you guys spent half as much time being creative and makin your own game as you did cryin about another game, youd have a kick a$$ game of your own. all games are, inevitability, going to be hated by someone somewher. everyouns got an opinion of their own. besides, why do all games HAVE to be 100% realistic? games used to be all about a refuge FROM reality. things arent always very fun when theyre too real. . my two cents...
