PS3 Slim questions

Alright. Today I un-boxed my new PS3 slim. I am really happy, but had a few questions.
1. Does the PS3 slim have good ventilation? It seems to get hot.
2. Is it bad to unplug and replug in the PS3? This one doesn't have the back power switch, and it seems to get hot even while it's off.

If anyone can let me know about ventilation and temperature of the system please help.

Thanks in advance, thanks everyone.

my slim gets pretty warm. maybe even hot. ive never bought a sony console before so if it ends up blowing(cute dual meanings) that'll be pretty much it for me. so far i've had it since the day it came out though and no problems though.

The PS3 has always gotten hot. Mine gets hot enough to actually turn my room into a sauna during the summer, so much so that I have to limit when I can use it. And there should never be a reason to unplug the system. The PSTwo (the mini version) didn't have a power switch either, the red light on the front signifies that it's idle, it's not using power (or any kind of measurable amount), and it'll run just fine like that.

I have my PS3 in an enclosed area of my entertainment center. It gets pretty warm in there at times. I have thought about buying one of those miniature fans in with it to help circulate air.

Glad I'm not the only one to experience video game climate control. My 360 can heat my room up a noticeable amount in the summer, it it isn't a small room...
