2 Questions.

1st- Why won't Assassins Creed or Oblivion ever get trophies? They have achievements, how hard is it to install trophies?

2nd- should I buy Infamous, Arkham Asylum, or a different game? Since I know a person who works at gamestop, and the 25% bonus trade in credit...i can get both for essentially the same price. Which has more lasting playability? Or should I get some other(possibly cheaper game) so that way I can not trade in a couple i could go either way with.

1) Unless Sony came out with a list of games they wont make trophies for those games may still get trophies. But making the trophies for games that have already come out is the Developer's choice. Those games have been out for a while and few people would go back just to get trophies, so they may not think its worth the time.

2) I have been told by many people that I should wait to get Infamous untill it drops by a lot. They say that the game is really short and because of that is not worth the 60 doller price tag.

The truth is what I have told you, the lie is what you remember

Heavenly Sword and Devil May Cry 4 are a couple more games that probably should get some sort of trophy set... How many games don't have trophies still?

A lot.

Here are a few things people need to realize.

1: 360 achievements don't transfer over clean to PS3. Sony gave developers a certain "number" they are allowed to achieve. Say Bronze are worth 1, Silver 2, and Gold 3. (I don't know the numbers, but...) Sony has guidelines that say, retail games can have 75 points worth of trophies, PSN games can have 50, expansion packs can have 25. Etc. So the company would need to go through and assign a value to each achievement (or new trophy, whatever), then they'd need to patch in the trigger to activate each one. Remember, even though the 360 may have them for a game, the game built for PS3 is not the same thing. The systems use two different formats, 360's use dual layer DVDs, PS3s use the Blu-Ray, so they are developed different while being essentially the same.

It wouldn't take "a lot of work", but these developers have better things to do generally speaking. And, I'm sorry to say, but unless trophies will cause a significant amount of people to go purchase the game, they're not going to add them in for a game that's a fair amount of time old. They already have your money, they don't need more.

But trophies are a requirement for all future games, so they'll all have them from now on.

InFamous isn't exactly short, granted it's not super-long, but if you take your time and enjoy yourself, you'd get enough time out of it. That's not counting a second play through for the other karma side. That said, I didn't buy it, and I'm glad I didn't. I rented it for about 2 weeks so I had time to beat it, I did, I enjoyed it. But it might not be worth a buy.

That said, I respect that Batman has been reviewed highly, I respect that a lot of people seemed to enjoy it very much. I also wouldn't buy this game, I'm interested to try it as soon as my Blockbuster has it, but it's just a single player game, it has some side challenges and other stuff like that, but I don't know how high replayablity is on a game such as that.

Both games are/should be pretty good, but it's a coin flip. Personally (and this is JUST me), I can't afford to go buy a game every week, so I choose very carefully which games I spend a full amount on. I look for games that will last a long time, have a good online multiplayer that I can get some use out of, and has a long story mode that benefits from more than one playthrough.

Find what you like and grab it.

CDink, why are you only choosing those two games? I wouldn't recommend any of them at full price. Batman was better than inFamous, but like Coleman said Batman is long enough for a rental and not more. It was a really fun game, however.

I agree with this statement. This is the game you should be buying CDink. I can not wait until I get it.
Stop sending me PMs about ArMax/Gameshark/Codebreaker codes, make a thread here instead and I will reply to you.

I'm still trying to figure out why I got in trouble for that one. I was just answering a question.

SPAM.

Now if that's all I posted, that would be pretty ambiguous, right? Doesn't really answer anything, it's just a word. Just saying "DEMON SOULS" without any explanation or reasoning is just SPAM.
