Metroid Trilogy

Anyone get this? I got it because I missed out on all the Metroids, and it's a lot of fun, especially when you don't get lost .

Also, any ideas about these vouchers I hear about?

I've played all three already so I didn't pick this up, but I'm curious to hear from a member that played the GCN Metroid Prime and the Wii version. Are the controls really a huge improvement?

I can imagine Metroid Prime being a gem for the Wii. I hated Metroid Prime 2 so I don't think new controls can help it xD.

Am playing Metroid Prime 2, I beat Metroid Prime and it was pretty fun.

Although so far some enemies take more hits then it seems like they should... The first 2 play very well with the new controls actually. I can't imagine playing with a GCN controller after playing it.

I have both GameCube versions but I'm yet to play them, is it worth getting the Trilogy and playing the first two on the Wii instead?

You haven't played them even though you have them?

I HIGHLY recommend Trilogy by the fact it's the Wii's answer to The Orange Box... along with an Art Book inside.

Yeah, Metroid Prime was great. I hated the second game simply because it's the same game with the dreaded "light/dark scenario". I always hated entering the dark world.

Did you get the Dark Suit?

It REALLY helps with the dark world. Also, they did tone it down a small bit in trilogy.

What did they tone down?

Becuase of difficulty, They did it to the boost and spider guardians. That's it.

Yeah, I got the dark suit. Isn't it mandatory to get the suit anyways?

I've completed all Prime games 100%...but even still, this package it SO tempting me. Partly because it's going to be a rare collectible and partly because I really want to try the first two with the Wiimote.

For those who's played both versions, do the first two play as smooth with the wiimote as the third game did?

Try reading the whole thread, post 3 has an opinion on the Wii version compared to the Gamecube versions.

I didn't see anything in post number three that compared Prime 3's controls with that of the first two games...which is what I was asking. I already know they work good. I just wanted to know if they were of the same precision as the third game.

Fair enough, I mistook the meaning of the question and assumed the controls would be the same precision in all 3 games. Can't see why they wouldn't be... if it's not then it would be a big disappointment.

I've finished all 3 games, they all control the same and play very well.

There is just 1 thing missing from the trilogy. Some of the first prime's animations are missing, but it doesn't hurt the experience and some of added bloom, shorter load times, and better textures are worth it.
