gamecube online

does anyone else think that nintendo should have made more games for online play on the gamecube? I think that would have made the gamecube a better console

Well it really comes down to Nintendo being really, really slow on the uptake in regards to online services. There were only four GCN games with online capabilites and another three with LAN options. I think that Nintendo really could have gotten somewhere if they worked more on getting their online service up to par as well as getting more games out for it much sooner then they did. But hey, Nintendo has never really cared about online play anyway.

Their current situation makes that abundantly clear.

I think that gamecube should have made more games for online play. It is ashamed that they are coming out with all of these new consoles and you never really see games for an older console that you might have. I think that the game companies should keep making games regardless how old the console gets.

To some degree your right but its just not economical to do that, but also a big problem is finding game developers who are willing to make games for an older console. Bottom line, I feel your pain bro I love my gamecube and all my other old systems. But after a while a system loses its lifespan and only a few EA sports games come out on it.
