Gameboy play it loud or not??

Hi all!

I`m new to this forum and i`m just wondering if my red gameboy is a gameboy play it loud. On the back side of the gameboy it says "1989 nintendo"... and more, but I thought that the gameboy play it loud was released in 1995. i`ve been told that coulored gameboys are play it loud gameboys.
I`m a little confused so I hope you guys can help me!!

Firstly, your English is quite good except for a couple spacing/capitalization errors and you're using ` instead of '. Secondly, welcome to GameWinners.

Your Game Boy likely is not a "Play It Loud!" edition of the system, I believe. As you did say, the "Play It Loud!" versions were released in 1995. Your information regarding "1989 Nintendo" is a bit unclear, though, since the copyright/release for the Game Boy itself was in 1989. Thus, it could very well be just a regular Game Boy. The original 1989 Game Boy did have both a standard grey AND a red/black color scheme. From the information I have referenced, the red "Play It Loud!" Game Boy has a darker border around the screen than a regular Game Boy.

I'm inclined to believe that yours is an original red Game Boy, not the "Play It Loud!" edition.

Thanks for replying. My gameboy does actually have a darker border than my grey one, (i`ve got two, one grey and one red)!! So is it a play it loud then???

According to what we just read, looks like it! But the 1989 on the back could just be the copyright year?

Yeah maybe. But can we then say or confirm that my red gameboy is a play it loud gameboy?? I'`m hoping so because then I have collected the whole gameboy line!

I`ve taken some pictures now, unfortunately with a pretty bad camera so you cannot see the text on the back side of the gameboys, but you can see That the two borders around the screens of the gameboys are different.

Can I just send them to your email??
