PSP go System
So I was just on the playstation sit and had seen that they have a new psp coming out. I was reading the specs for it and I had seen that it didnt say anything about UMD. So is this thing just for downloading stuff on to or does it play UMD?

no UMDs period. just straight digital media.
i do have a small movie catalogue for the PSP, so i'm not gonna "upgrade" to the GO. i also have big hands (being 6'6"), the smaller GO would make things more uncomfortable. |

No, the UMDs will still be sold. For people like me, I don't have the ability to buy things digitally only like that. So I will be getting the 3000.

I still need to get a new one, I really want upcoming titles like Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, Resident Evil Portable, and the Final Fantasy game.

the go is too small, no UMD support is an issue for me. i have crappy wireless and would spend the next year downloading a simple game.

The PSPgo was a ****ty idea.
No, no, wait, I'll take that back...if the PSPgo was $150 cheaper, it would have major promise. But lets do the math on this one as it is. For $50 less, you get a PSP that can do all the things that the PSPgo can do AND can also still utilize a UMD drive. Let's re-word that shall we? You get MORE features for LESS money if you go with the older PSP model. So you're telling me that Sony is banking on people buying the PSPgo because it 'looks cool'? That's literally the only thing going for it. Everything else can already be done on the PSP that has been around since 2005, and is cheaper. Just plain stupid.
