Forgot name - Has cats in it

I had found this game again a few years back, but have forgotten it again! I remember that the hero was a cat, and was after his lover - who was taken by a gangster cat. There was a desert level, and I remember many of the bosses were machines that threw out punching bags. This is all I can remember for now. Sound familiar?
