Any of the Metal Gear Solids really (the original trilogy is only $30), Socom or Socom II, Timesplitters 2, God of War. Those were some of my favorite PS2 games.

and I dare say even compared to most PS3, X-Box 360, and Wii games. but, this is only my opinion. if your looking for a good RPG to spend a few days working on, try it out. |

I'd say Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 are excellent choices, and they provide at least thirty hours of gameplay each. However, KingdomHearts RE: Chain of Memories is a waste of money, for the gameplay gets old after about 5 hours and all the information in the story is already given in Kingdom Hearts 2.
Also, all of the Metal Gear Solids are great games, and if you have a Playstation 3, MGS 4 is definitely the best game I've ever played. Another great game is Shadow of the Colossus. Although there is next to no story to it, gameplay is extremely fun. The Jak and Daxter trilogy is also a great buy. Although the first game doesn't really have anything new and original, Jak 2 and Jak 3 are must-haves for the PS2. My last suggestion is the Ratchet and Clank series. Although they may seem to be more aimed at younger gameplayers, the games are still fun and entertaining for older players. |
