what game is this?

heya,
there was a game I used to play for NES that had a multiplayer mode (I don't remember playing single player at all) where you would just compete against a friend in a series of minigames. I tried looking it up and the only one I found that came close was the "field meet" mode of "Little Ninja Brothers," but I'm sure that wasn't the game. the only minigame I remember was one where you had to jump over logs from an above view. I might be wrong about this detail, but I also remember them being some type of anime cavemen.
thanks in advance.

No idea why but I had a dream about this thread last night. That I was on a quiz show and saw part of the game and had to name it...and I got it wrong.

Sorry for the relatively OT post, but I figured it was kooky enough to post.

I'll help look for it on the 'net. Two questions- did it require any peripherals (like the floor pad) to play, and around what year do you remember playing it?

What?

@ Zelden - Caveman Games, lol

@ Wred - That leaves the entire NES library open, then...I'd been hoping to narrow it down a tad. Ah, well, ~gets to looking~

Possibilities I've found:

Trog

That's it so far...I'll keep searchin'
