Ever happen to anyone else

Has anyone here ever found themselves going back and listening to music that their parents listened to when you were younger. For me that involve Van Halen, with only one Van Hagar song as part of the list, Queen, etc. Just wondering.

Forgot 38 Special.

I listen to the music that was around when my parents were younger but they didnt listen to that kind of stuff. The only thing we both listen to is Queen.

No, I've actually introduced my parents to bands that were around during their time.

Yes. The Eagles, Queen, The Carpenters, ELO, David Bowie, Fleetwood Mac to name but a few. Actually listened to the first Queen record not too long ago.
  maybe they'll gnaw right through...

My dad's cd collection is essentially the entire back catalogue from Black Sabbath, Rush, Lez Zeppelin, Fleetwood Mac, CCR, Yes, Mott the Hoople, Deep Purple, Uriah Heep etc... so yeah, it sees a lot of playing time...

Notes: He's not mafia, but I think if he survives the night, he'll surely be a town target the following day. There are still a number of reasons the mafia would keep this terrible person alive, but I don't think the town will be as willing to buy those reasons as they may have been in the past. Though I question why he'd vote for himself knowing full well what that could mean. I will continue to vote for him until he has proven himself innocent.

I know my mom listened to a lot of classic rock and was into that whole scene but she doesn't admit it much. The only bands we both openly love are The Eagles and Alabama along with maybe a few others.

Sorta, kinda. I like some stuff like Genesis/Phil Collins, Elton John, Billy Joel and the like, but I don't necessarily go seeking it out and listen to it as such. I'll definitely turn it up if I hear it, but I rarely decide to crank out any of it just on a whim.

Yeees... but the music my mum introduced me to is something... weird, one could say. I sincerely wish name Klaus Wunderlich doesn't ring anyone's bell here.

To an extent... my mom listens to only country and I've never touched the stuff but I do find myself listening to the Beach Boys, the Beegees, and maybe Van Morrison every so often that my dad listened to when I grew up.

Every time I think of a memory when I was younger, there always seems to be a Beach Boys song playing in the background.

Arrow Ah, but I was so much older then, I'm younger than that now...

It's more backwards with me. I listen to older/classic music because I like it, and if my parents happen to hear a familiar tune from their youth they'll mention it.
Your head is throbbing with pain...
Your lungs feel as if they are on fire...
The red spots on your neck get bigger every day...
Every vein in your body has turned black...
You cough and hold your quivering hand up to your face...
You see drops of blood...
You can feel it growing...
You have The virus...

Same here, but for me, it's James Taylor.
