so i feel cheated...

I got an xbox.....and i realized it doesn't have the little things that connect the controller to the console...or a memory card(idk if you need one for the xbox.)..so the question is, where can you get those things theses days since there so old..and how much will they run me?

also the disc tray won't open..any safe ways of opening it guys?

like i said i feel cheated.

Where did you buy this from? If it was from a store then take it back, though I suspect that it wasn't.

I have no idea where you'd find replacement controller cables. It might just be easier to buy new controllers, which can be found second hand in stores that trade in old consoles. You don't need a memory card because the console itself has a hard drive.

The disc tray not opening is a major issue. I don't know of any way to fix that. It sounds like you might just have come into possession of a broken console, and it'd probably be easier to find another one to buy from a store than fix this one.

and i knew that the front didn't open some, but i havn't gotten it to open yet....i really hope i can find a second hand video game store round here.

to open the disk try either lightly push down on the front of it or see that little hole on the front of it push a pin in there and PoP opens the tray. just like computers....The controller's those will be a royal bitch to find just like the power cables

The disc tray is a problem my brother's Xbox has but not mine. Before I got my own, I found to open it, press the open tray button, lightly put your finger on the front of the tray, and jiggle it. It should soon come out. But if you leave a disc in it, it doesn't do that.

And if you are talking about the break aways, you can get some here:

Hope that helps.

i have found the breakaway cable at most gamestop and ebgames, as for a memory card, you dont need one unless you want to take you game saves anywhere, the xbox has a built in hard drive

Gamestop used to often sell breakaway cords. So I guess try there or Ebay, or else you'll just have to buy yourself some new controllers.
