Trying to Remember the title of a NES game

theres an old nes game i remember playing and i can't remember the title to it and i was wondering if someone on here could help me. I remember through the game you had to keep going to some old man to learn different techniques such as throws and a red dot would appear on where you had to hit your opponent next. It was a kung fu/action sort of game anyone know which one i'm talking about please let me know!
