I want to know how decent these pokemon are.

I just want to know what these pokemon are good or bad at, or how to use them.

Golduck
Crobat
Lanturn
Armaldo
Cradily
Bronzong
Froslass
Sharpedo

Sorry if this seems like a large request. I'm just curious.

Golduck I believe a sweeper, probably physical.
Crobat Either a fast sleeper (with Hypnosis) or a Nasty Plot sweeper.
Lanturn Not sure.
Armaldo Physical Sweeper.
Cradily Wall, possibly something in a BP chain.
Bronzong Wall, mixed. Can sleep stuff.
Froslass Scarf/Specs user with special attacks.
Sharpedo Physical sweeper.

Sorry if this seems like a large request. I'm just curious.
Is that the sort of thing you were looking for?

ariados is bug right?? i would stay away from bug. lots of people have fire and bird pokemon. and not many have grass.

fearow- i personally wouldn't. i spent ages trainin mine and i came out as pants. (maybe thats cos i'm near useless at pokemon??)

swellow is pretty good. staraptor is better.

ampharos is good. if i remember- it has a pretty decent def. so with some well placed EV training, it could be great. moves= Rockslide, EQ, dragon claw, slash. but i dunno???

Lanturn gets a lot of HP, but its other stats are below average. Its best used as a wall, but its very meh at doing so.

Ampharos does have decent Special Defense and HP so it can take a couple of hits from that end of the spectrum. However, it doesn't have much speed, leaving it vulnearble to an Earthquake from all sorts of things. It's best used in a Trick Room team.

Swellow is best used in combination with a Flame Orb. The boost with Guts will give it some nice attack (don't say the burn will reduce attack, Guts completely removes that reduction and still gives its attack boost), and a STABbed Facade with Guts can hurt like hell. STABbed Quick Attack also does well. Without the Flame Orb, Staraptor generally does better.

lol no on Ariados. Its low speed screams Trick Room team, but that Bug typing isn't doing it any favors, and its best stat (Attack) isn't exactly that great either (base 90, which is decent, but there are far better out there).

Fearow makes for a decent physical sweeper as it has both the Attack and Speed to do it. Its movepool isn't exactly great though, and its outclassed by both Staraptor and Swellow.

Also to note, Golduck has higher Sp. Attack than Attack, so its better off as a Special Sweeper. Overall, it has slightly above-average stats, which can be both a good and bad thing depending on how you want to use it or who its up against in a battle.

Edit: almost fittingly, I Quick Attacked pencil thief, indicating to him that *filler*, or Roost since Swellow won't have much staying power, should most likely be replaced with Quick Attack.

I see Swellow used like this:

Swellow@Toxic/Flame Orb
-Adamant/Jolly-
Facade
Brave Bird
Roost
-filler-

Ampharos isn't half bad. It is good with physical moves I believe.

Fearow and Ariados, not so much.

Sharpedo is awful, and is weak to [insert attack with more than about 40 base power here].

Golduck I don't know about.

Crobat is, as Trev said, good as a Nasty Plot sweeper or a Hypnosiser, with its blazing fast speed. It can Roost, which is good, but watch out for Ground attacks if you do so, because you'll probably go first and lose your Flying typing.

Lanturn's main upside is that assuming it has Volt Absorb, it resists the oh-so-popular BoltBeam, and as such makes a decent counter to Starmie. Doesn't really do an awful lot else, though.

Armaldo can be a good sweeper (or at least, it could in Advanced, I'm assuming not much has changed for it since then other than mroe attacking options), but there are better choices out there.

Cradily enjoys abusing Sandstream, Recover, and Barrier. However, it isn't very good at doing much other than sitting there looking immovable, if that is even possible. It's more utility than anything else, really.

Bronzong is quite sexy (despite being genderless), with many options open to it. It can be a utility with Hypnosis, Stealth Rock, and Light Screen/Reflect. It can Trick Room and turn into a bulky sort of sweeper with Gyro Ball and Earthquake. It can also Calm Mind and be a general tank with special attacks. Problem is, it needs to rely on Rest for recovery, getting no Recovery or Softboiled-type moves.

Frosslass is pretty much utility, and is mainly used as a Spiker that can't be Rapid Spun against. It's a shame that high base speed all goes to waste with crappy other stats. It can do stuff liike Thunder Wave and other utility moves, though.

Ampharos I am about as familiar with as Golduck.

Fearow can be a pretty decent physical attacker. Or it could in Advanced. Again, I don't think much has changed since then other than mroe attacking options. It is overshadowed as a bird physical sweeper by Swellow, however.

Swellow can be a powerful Guts abuser, but unfortunately it is overshadowed in the bird sweeper department by Staraptor, and overshadowed in the general sweeper department by so much more.

Ariados is about as good as Sharpedo. Both can be accurately summed up in one word by "hahahahahahahah".

Actually, Sharpedo can make use of a Choice Scarf quite nicely, considering he's got a nice base 120 Atk and dual physical STAB to work with. He's definitely a glass cannon, but he is usable.

I was again assuming that not much had changed with it from Advanced. I forgot about the special/physical switch. Sharpedo was something of a laughing stock in Advanced. But then again, so was Sneasel, and look what it evolved into -.-

Ariados is still awful, though
