Today was the last straw. I HATE when anyone says "The life of the average running back is only 3 years!" Who cares about the average running back? What does an average running back do? The only running backs people remember or buy jerseys for are the elite. More often than not, they play more than 3 years.

Basically right before the season starts. Right now we don't even know who is going to be on the full rosters outside of the big-name guys.

I can't wait. Obviously my knowledge is EXTREMELY limited, but it will be fun picking a team... and I know more about it than I do baseball, which I'm lucking through. And by "lucking through", I mean that I'm pretty much bottom of the league, but with players that were drafted for me.

If you're up for a challenge, you should join the GWFL. We pick both offensive and defensive players. We start signups in July and then the draft immediately thereafter. We get it going early because it all takes place in the Fantasy Sports forum as opposed to a separate site. It's a little more work, but it's a lot of fun. We usually don't have every person return each year, so there would probably be some openings.

Dr. Flammond: You see, a year ago, I was close to perfecting the first magnetic desalinization process so revolutionary, it was capable of removing the salt from over 500 million gallons of seawater a day. Do you realize what that could mean to the starving nations of the earth?

Nick Rivers: Wow, they'd have enough salt to last forever!

Ocho has been released from the Patriots.

Oh yeah, guess who is still on the team, Deion Branch (at least for now, but he has lasted longer than Ocho at the very least). I guess when Stalin was telling me how stupid I was for saying Ocho would be gone for next year he was right huh?

I hope they don't expect him to replace Brandon Marshall.

They're very thin at wideout. He's probably going to help them replace...an empty roster spot.

Not saying he'll do terrible there, they have almost no weapons so they'll likely HAVE to use him quite a bit.

So Michael Irvin says the Lombardi Trophy should have it's name changed to include Bill Bellichick. I was curious how all of you felt about this since football season is right around the corner and this thread has been dead.

Personally, I wouldn't like the idea. From what I remember Lombardi won more championships all together than Bellicheck has won superbowls, (As a head coach) and Bellicheck hasn't won since "Spygate"

I'm also a diehard Packers fan

I will say though, when someone asks me who the greatest coach in NFL history is, I usually respond with Bellichick.

If that would happen though, AT LEAST wait until Bill Bellichick is in the Hall of Fame.

No reason to change it. It will always be Lombardi because he was a legend and a pioneer of the sport. If you were to do that with every great coach it would have been the Shula Trophy, Ditka Trophy, Walsh Trophy, etc.

I think Belichick is the greatest coach ever but the trophy should always be Lombardi.

[His production] is also going to be a much bigger drop-off, though, as Decker goes from Peyton Manning and quite possibly the greatest offense in NFL history to the most Geno Smith offense in NFL history. - Bill Barnwell

Hall of Fame induction going on now. Curtis Martin, the most underrated player, in any sport ever, is being inducted among them.

I believe there is a game tomorrow night as well.

Yes, there is a game tomorrow. Cards/Saints at 8.

Speaking of Belichick, he makes sure his players aren't hurting:

So apparently Andy Reid's eldest son was found dead this morning

Actually I feel for Andy, but his son was garbage.
