Yeah, I found this out not too long ago when I was in a store and heard an old motown version of it. I actually like the original considerably more than Soft Cell's version.

It's good. Very upbeat. Not sure if I like it more, as I love the Soft Cell version, but it's great to listen to.

More recent example would be Bad Company by Five Finger Death Punch. It came on the radio one day and my dad b*tched the first time he heard it because he liked the original. After hearing it for myself, I can't really decide which one I prefer.
