First time in my life I've ever been the midnight first showing of a movie and it was totally worth it. Great combination of action comedy and just about enough drama. Ruffalo certainly made a very interesting Hulk, although his story shoud have been explained better. Work will be a struggle tomorrow, but will revert with more thoughts as the movie sinks in.

Quite a few films premiere in other places earlier than the US.
Hoping to see it tomorrow/Friday. Not normally an action kinda gal, but looks promising.

Other than foreign films, I've always been told that we get movies a little earlier than most other countries.

You're right in that you do get most of them first, but it still happens more than you'd think. I remember Russia got a bunch every now and then for no good reason. To be honest, I have no idea what this depends on. It might be down to the company doing the distributing, for financial reasons or something. Maybe it could be a way of testing different cuts to work out which would work best with American audiences - but that's just from the top of my head.

I went and saw the Avengers last night and I thought it was absolutely outstanding.

I tried avoiding seeing the reviews just in case they were bad but I just checked RT to see the reviews of this weeks movies and saw a 96% next to Marvel's The Avenger and had to check it out. 44+ 2-. 8.2 AVG.

To all you jerks who got to see the movie, does this prove Whedon knows what he's doing to you?

Well he got this right whether that means he knows what he is doing is another question. Undoubtably the most enjoyable new movie I have seen since June last year.

Eh, it was alright.
 I liked the monsters. The monsters were badass. One of the better alien concepts I've seen.
I surely must've missed something about the Hulk (and I know nothing about the Marvel universe), 'cause I don't get how he has trouble not destroying his own buddies and their ship, and then all of a sudden he does things right and is selective about who/what he kills/destroys. Why does that vary?
Man, did that arrow guy have to be there? Compared to everyone else and their excellent powers, he stuck out like a sore thumb.
Johansson had the worst Russian accent I have ever heard, but I'll let that slide. However, whoever did the design of the billboards in the background in the beginning when she's in Russia was a lazy bastard, because they're just gobbledygook with Cyrillic letters. But whatever, I was just surprised that a film of such vast financial investments could afford to pay more attention to detail. 

Have to give credit to the mostly genuinely funny comic relief.

I'm going to see it tomorrow at midnight. I haven't been this excited for a movie since Spiderman 3 (lolz). I haven't heard anything bad about this movie.

I bought my tickets today for Friday night in IMAX 3D. So excited.

bought my tickets a couple days ago to see in Imax 3D as well. I have to drive 3 hours just to see it. I'm going to be sooooo tired when I get back home.

To prepare myself for the awesome, I'm in the middle of a Avenger's hero marathon. Yesterday, Iron Man, Incredible Hulk, and Iron Man 2. Later today before I depart, Thor and Captain America... plus the Marvel One Shots.

Pumped.

Been on a Marvel fest myself after watching Avengers (twice before you all already ). Juts hope you aren't let down by it!

Oh, and Ruffalo has been signed on for the next few Hulk films
