Assassin's Creed Revelations is God Awful
Seriously. I've played (and loved) the previous three titles and have had the occasional hilarious glitch, but that's it. Nothing like this. I'm only an hour and half into the game and have had several freezes (though they fixed themselves after a few seconds) and constant, and I mean constant, audio drop. Music and dialogue will drop out completely and when the spoken dialogue does come back it's usually over someone else's speaking. What the hell is with this crap? This isn't every once in awhile, or even once every five minutes, it happens throughout the entire game. Whether it be a cutscene or simply running around, it doesn't matter. The worst part is, this game isn't new. It's been out for a while now and they've had plenty of time to fix it and haven't. How the hell did they drop the ball this badly?

Really? What platform are you playing it on? I haven't really heard anything but great things about the new Assassin's Creed. I have not played it myself yet, although I really need to get on that... but regardless, it almost sounds more like a disc issue than anything else.

I'm playing on a PS3. No problems with the disc, as that's what I initially thought. It's easily the glitchiest game I've encountered, and I've played Fallout: New Vegas.

I don't know anything about the PS3 version, but I didn't encounter anything like this on the Xbox 360 ~3 weeks after launch. Nor with the release of the first two DLC packs. Hence, while I tend to agree that Revelations is the buggiest and weakest game in the series -- by a large margin, at that -- it's just for different reasons.
I know the first Assassin's Creed was super buggy on the PS3, to say nothing of many other games, so maybe this is another case of that? If there's a mandatory install, perhaps you could delete that and try running the game again? And I've no idea how patches work on PS3, but make sure you've got the latest one. I know they released one on Xbox 360 back in December which, while fixing things, ironically broke lots of other stuff -- like the Sage achievement. May help with the freezing, at least.

Played through the campaign and a fair chunk of multiplayer on PS3 and had no such issues. It's probably an issue with your console, or the install.

I played the game on PS3 from start to finish and didn't have a single issue as far as glitches go.

Alright so I took a soft cloth to the disc and it ended up working perfectly. Weird since the disc had no marks on it that I could see. Just beat the game, worst in the series gameplay wise, best in the story department. Can't wait for AC3.
