Oblivion Shivering Isles: Hollowed Amber logs

I am trying to get myself a set of amber armor.. might as well before i finish this game and shelf it for a while.

Anyway, It appears the best drop is the hollowed Amber Logs scattered throughout the realm... do there contents respawn where i can come back and farm these when im bored of questing?

EDIT: I messed up... hollowed amber Stump not log... oops can a mod edit the title for me?

No, they are all non-respawning.

Only way to get amber after clearing those stumps is from either random loot or those tree creatures as far as I can remember.

I think it's easiest just to fight the tree creatures

It's a combination of both for me. Just go exploring. Every place you see, enter it. No matter what kind. Chances are you'll find some amber in there. If I remember correctly, you can tell when there's an amber stump nearby through this bright amber coloured stuff flying through the air. Just take a look next time you see an amber stump, you'll see what I mean.

indoors that is the case... the same sparkles are used just to make the world look pretty when outdoors. I'm wanting to get a full set of amber armor just for the sake of getting it.

There are a few pieces of the armor that I want the matrix enchant for... others wont help me since my stats are allready maxed out. (level 40)

This is actually completely unrelated, but is it really possible to get past level 50? Because I did without cheating, and without the jail glitch (I never broke the law, and if I did never got caught).

In that case, you have answered your own question, but yes, with the right leveling order you can reach level 50 easily. WIth the 'Jail Glitch' however you can reach 255.

I know I answered my own question, but I didn't know if my game glitched or not, I mean without any cheats, glitches, or anything, but you already answered that, so it works, I mean, I got my level all the way up to 60.
