cwawrestling.com exclusive: "Reality..." (hype for what's to come)

*In amongst all this chaos within the Championship Wrestling Alliance right now, visitors to cwawrestling.com are greeted with many things: news on the inner proceedings of the company, CWA's official statement regarding what will take place in the uncertain future, and a very strange white "MF" in the bottom corner of the screen. If one should happen to click on said "MF", they would be taken to a page with a dark purple and black background, showing nothing but a pair of red glowing eyes. Should one linger on that page for about half a second longer, a video screen pops up. After a few moments of loading, we are greeted with the scene of a neighbourhood at night. It is raining lightly and the only source of illumination are the streetlamps that dot the sidewalk. Suddenly a voice from off-camera breaks the silence of the night.*

"Reality...it is a word used often in today's day and age, for a variety of reasons. It is a word used to distinguish between what is 'possible' and what isn't, what is 'logic', and what is just figments of our own overactive imaginations. But just what exactly does reality really mean?"

*The camera pans around to reveal the source of said voice to be this man, who is seen leaning against a wall near the corner of the street. The man, clad in blue jeans, a Godsmack t-shirt, and a Jimmy Jacobs-style leather jacket, is recognized by a few fans of the fallen promotions EWX and FFE as none-other than "The Mindfreak" Nathan Maverick. Maverick stands with his arms crossed, and after a moment he speaks.*

"Reality, as we human beings know it, is a lie. It is an elaborate story fabricated by those in power to keep us in line. After all, what better way for them to control us than by convincing us that anything they do not want us to do is merely...impossible? Well I have news for you people: NOTHING is impossible. I discovered this early on in my life and, as such, have developed the knowledge and ability to manipulate reality to my every whim. Do you doubt me? It is as plain as day. The Championship Wrestling Alliance was on the verge of collapse, only to be miraculously recovered - on a much smaller scale, mind you - by a series of events some might say were extremely lucky. No, no. Yet again you've let the poison of popular misconception seep into your already-clouded brains. Luck is an illusion, it is simply one manipulating reality - albeit sometimes unconsciously - for the benefit of themselves or others. All that has transpired over these past few days - most specifically the CWA's recovery - has been accomplished by one man. Me.

I alone hold the secret to the manipulation of what you mortals know as "reality", and that is knowledge that I hold very dear to my heart. That is not to say I will not share it, however. Simply imagine what the world could be if we were all to cast off the shackles of the encumbrance known as reality. Imagine the medical and scientific breakthroughs that could be made if researchers were not bound to what we have deemed 'possible' and 'impossible'. Imagine what our world would be without disease, or war, or perhaps even death. If we could fix the environment by simply willing it. All these possibilities and even more present themselves if you simply open your mind. Free yourself from the cumbersome monster you've been chained to and you will discover wonders beyond even your wildest dreams. A new era is dawning here in the CWA, and all of you had better prepare for it, because each and every one of you shall soon recieve...enlightenment."

*WIth that, Maverick moves from the wall and begins to walk away, the street lights deactivating as he passes them, plunging the screen into complete darkness. The video ends, and we are left with only this logo as the page closes.*

I've always like this character, and would like to see him grow and expand. I'm looking forward to seeing him here in CWA.

Thanks, man. I've never really had much of a chance with him before now, since the promotions he's been in have folded after a month, so I hope this time around will be different and I can finally establish him as a legitimate character.
