Ok well this isn't THAT bad of a problem. However its annoying. When I open internet explorer for some reason a bottom part of the toolbar like falls down and stays down until I click out of the page then click back in to fix it. It's not major. I have been dealing with it for a few months since I thought it would fix itself or an update for it would fix it. However I haven't gotten any new updates for it and it still does it. Here is a link to a picture of what it looks like.
http://i147.photobucket.com/albums/r...m/untitled.jpg Anyone know how to fix this or whats going on? Like I said before it fixes itself when I click out of internet explorer then click back in however I would like it if it just would work right when I start it up. There isn't really a hurry for this info cuzz iv been dealing with it for a few months at least. I just want to know if I can fix it. Since I know other computers at my college have internet explorer and it never happens on theirs.

You need to determine which one of your add-ons is doing this, because I'm pretty sure it's ONE of your add-on toolbars, whether it is the AVG one or something else. So run IE7 with add-ons disabled one by one so we can get a little process of elimination going.

nope.
Even when I start it up with add-on's disabled it still does the same thing. So it can't be one of my add-on's I don't even have many just the AVG and McAfee site advisor which hasn't worked for a long time for some reason.

Well, IE isn't my recommendation anyway. Use Firefox or Google Chrome. Clean out your caches and keep your system clean of infections. Otherwise, you could try going into IE's preferences and resetting everything you can find to default. Beyond that, I can't think of a whole lot that can be done.

Well I do also have firefox which is ok at times. However it also has some problems or annoyances that I don't like but its not errors just how they made it. I haven't ever tried google chrome I might check it out later maybe. I still use IE these days just because.
Even though I switched to firefox as my default explorer cuzz of the glitch or whatever they found out about where IE can be hacked into and people can easily find out your passwords to stuff. I don't remember what it was about exactly but it was featured on G4TV's the Feed so its obviously ligit cuzz they don't just spread rumors but yeah I just figured someone might know whats going on with my IE. Thanks for the help so far though.

Ok that worked. Thanks except now I updated to 8 and its all crapy. I miss the old internet explorer. Nowadays its all big pictures and thick menu bars and such. Its like eventually you will have like an inch worth of room to look at web pages and the rest will be of bars and menu bars and such.
im being sarcastic but it feels like they want to take up more and more room at the top its annoying.

My IE8 looks like this (with the only bar disabled being the Favorites bar):
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y21...dg/ie8shot.png Is your toolbar area larger than that? |

Well its about the same however like the refresh and the stop button are like in a different spot for some reason (thats how they came when I downloaded it) and a lot of the icons are HUGE. Like distorted. I got a picture of it. Take a look for yourself.
http://i147.photobucket.com/albums/r...m/untitled.jpg Also that compatibility view button doesn't show up when I click to show it or hide it so I have no idea where that is or what it does really. oops Sorry wrong link here is the real picture. http://i147.photobucket.com/albums/r...untitled-1.jpg

My apologies. The right-click part was a bit of a throwback to my job (you'd be very surprised how many people don't know what right-clicking means).
I'm guessing that would require a registry edit. Have you tried a reset again (just on the off chance that some add-on dropped itself on IE8's initial launch)? |

IE 8 always freezes on my computer. On Windows 7 I've never actually input a website because it crashes all the time. Anway, I've just looked into it and after waiting 5 minutes for it to load I found I am able to change the size of the icons. Is it not something to do with y our screen resolution? It seems huge to me. Or is it zoomed in?
