'09 was pretty huge step up from the previous game but this game changed a lot of things. For me, I think the hardest adjustment is that the gameplay slowed down so much. It feels like you actually have the time to pick your hole as a running back or kick returner.

There are some things that have gotten annoying though. The difficulty is really weird. For example, in my first franchise I played as the Chiefs and went 5-5 with our terrible team before I started getting really frustrated. Now however, I've done a fantasy draft and with players who are actually good my team is currently 12-1. I've been playing on All-Pro the whole time so it really felt like there was a huge jump down in difficulty.

What did you guys think of the differences with these games?

More than any other previous year, this one really makes you pay for throwing a poor pass. The INT rate is fairly high if you try and fling a ball into coverage.

That's main difference I've noticed from the 5 or so games I've played so far. I'm sure there will be more little nuances as play goes on.

I've noticed that a lot too. I had Cassel on my first team and he threw tons of picks whereas with Brees I only threw 12 in a full season (which isn't too many for me).

Using moves while sprinting is pretty much useless in this game. If you try to juke or spin while sprinting it seems like your runner comes to a complete stop, and then executes the maneuver. Thusly getting you tackled....pretty silly, but I just had to learn not to lean on the right trigger.

I'm not sure that's necessarily a new feature as the various juke and spin type moves weren't all that effective when holding sprint for the past couple installments. After maining Baltimore with the invention of the hit stick, I learned that front on the right stick is a bigger friend than sprint.

I actually juke alot more this year. I've gotten juking down pretty well. You just have to know when to use it.

I'm finding the juke more effective as well. Spinning is useless now :(. The game is much slower paced and it's way too hard to spin when the running back/Kick Returners are so slow but the defense is coming full speed down the field.

I use to spin alot but, I never find myself spinning anymore. But, juking (like I already said) and stiff arming I've been using alot more. I used the stiffing before but, not as much as I do now.

Back juking is the best. Especially when playing against another person. They nevere expect it no matter how many times I do it.

I've tried stiff arming several times with power backs...and when you have a tackler lateral to you it works well, but if he's in front of you or at a 45 degree angle to you it's pretty much useless, which is a shame, it should at least keep them from tackling you right away. So now I just spam the truck stick like a n00b.
