what is with the black cart nes games? a friend of mine who has like over a hundred NES games told me that they are the unliscensed games and they could be worth money. I went to an amazing game store called the exchange that has like at least a hundred NES games, and only a couple boxed complete games, and anyways i found a black cart one that only cost $1 and it was like a baseball game.

He was correct about them being unlicensed. Prior to development of technology to block them, many companies produced games without buying a license, due to the high amount it would cost to get one. Most of these companies produced the games with a very small budget, so most of the unlicensed games suck. They were also not able to sell them in any major stores, because the games were technically illegal. Most of them had relatively low production runs and an even lower sell-through, due to the fact that they sucked and the fact that not many stores had them. Some of these games are worth a lot of money due to rarity, but most of them are not worth much. Since the games suck, they are really only worth anything if they are EXTREMELY rare.
