Platinum Battle Team

I'm looking for advice on the Battle Frontier and what Pokemon I should use. So far, I've gotten 2 Pokémon picked out. Electabuzz (named Electra, I like nicknaming Pokémon), and Staraptor (Chelsea). Electra knows ThunderPunch, FirePunch, Secret Power, and Rock Smash. It has an Impish Nature, with 135 HP, 104 Atk., 80 Def., 102 Sp. Atk., and 91 Sp.Def. Chelsea knows Steel Wing, Close Combat, Brave Bird, and Fly. It is a Timid Nature, with 164 HP, 144 Atk., 99 Def., 77 Sp. Atk., and 67 Sp. Def. If anyone could help, please do so.

Can't you evolve Electabuzz into Electivire? Either way, it would be better with Thunder Punch, Ice Punch, Earthquake, and Cross Chop. Even if you can get all those attacks for it, there's no way you should be using Rock Smash.

I sorta don't know where to find the Electrisizor, or whatever it's called... also, I like Electabuzz better than Electivire.

If you evolve it into an Electivire, you'd most likely have a better type range, along with better stats.

u get the electrilizer when you catch an elekid they are usually holding one and bulba rex is right there are way better moves than rock smash

Electra no longer has Rock Smash, it has Focus Blast. Also, I have a Walrein and a Gardevoir.

the electrisizor is located behind the white fence at Valley Windworks. Also with random wild electabuzz on route 222. As far as beating the Battle Acade and Dahlia, I just used the 3 starters Empoleon, Infernape, and Torterra. Also I used Empoleon to win at the Battle Dome against Argentina. Silver certificates only on both.

Why does your Staraptor have a Timid nature? I'm guessing you won't want to, but either a Jolly or Adamant nature with that set will be alot better. The one you have will be fairly fast, but without Timid, those attacks are going to be alot weaker than with the 2 natures I posted.

I don't think he bothered to breed for natures or anything.

I didn't, and I replaced Walrein with Pikachu with Volt Tackle, Iron Tail, ThunderBolt, and Surf.

Make sure you either evolve Pikachu or give it a Light Ball to hold, although I don't know why you're using a second Electric type. You may not want to use Volt Tackle when you already have Thunderbolt, but it could be useful if you need the extra power to finish off an opponent, or you're facing an opponent with a lot weaker defense than special defense (when Iron Tail isn't better).
