Ivs are not effected whatsoever by battles. They are set when you recieve said pokemon.

Evs on the other hand may or may not have been affected. Because you are not level 100 with both, if they are not full of evs then you can try to finish them off to the best of your abilities. There is a man in Sunnyshore who will give your pokemon a ribbon if it is completely ev trained.

Well, using rare candies wont affect your evs at all. They just wont give you any evs. you will only get evs by gaining experience points.

No. You only get evs when you gain experience.

As Simon said, using Rare Candies does not affect EVs or IVs (in fact IVs cannot be changed by anything short of hacking once they have been set). Your Pokémon will have the exact same EVs and IVs after using the Rare Candies as it did before using them. The reason many people would advise against using Rare Candies is because if you had gained the levels by training instead of by using Rare Candies you would have got EVs, whereas by using Rare Candies you don't. But if you already had maxed EVs (check with the person in Sunnyshore Market, as Simon said) then this argument doesn't apply.

I highly doubt you have any EVs left to get after training it to L70.

*Bulbasaurus Rex used Dynamic Punch on RyokixEdogawa. It's super effective!

RyokixEdogawa survived using its focus sash!

Anyways EV's or effort values are given to a pokemon everytime they faint another pokemon, or gain experience from another pokemon. When a pokemon gain 4 evs it corrospnds to one stat point when the pokemon is level 100. You can have 510 evs total and 255 evs per stat. Different pokemon will give a different amount of evs for ech stat.

IV's are numbers givin at the time you recieve a pokemon. They are a number, 1-31, that add that many stat points to the pokemon.
