I don't have the movesets for these pokemon yet b/c as of late I haven't aqcuired all of them. But the 5 /6 pokemon I was going to use are:
Chimchar
Shinx
Houndour
Espeon
Togepi
Obviously I have to evolve them and what not, but my question is what do I put in my last spot? I still need a water type so I was thinking of catching either barboach or the base form of Quagsire. So should I go for a water/ground type or just a pure water type pokemon? :help:

I'm used a Wooper->Quagsire on my Diamond and I liked it a lot. Gyarados is always a good choice too.
BTW, Shinx/Luxio/Luxray sucks.

Hmm...I have never had any trouble using Shinx/Luxio/Luxray before. I used him on Diamond and got good results from it.

hehe I love how you were suggesting Luxray and saying how awsome it was before.
Anyways, if this is for ingame mostly anything will work.
I dont think I would suggest using Houndour and Chimchar though. Instead of Chimchar you could start with Piplup, getting rid of your water problem. Or instead of Houndour I would suggest a ground type such as Hippowdon or something. Then you could add one of my favorite pokemon, Buizel.
Edit: Rodded

Well... this is post National Dex. Which means it could be competitive.
As SS said, in game, pretty much anything works (aside from Kricketune). But if this is a competitive team, it might need some work, unless you are Harry Potter and you use your magic skills to alter the fighting.

Actually, all of those are in the Platinum National Dex. So...
