How do I get Spear Pillar?

My friend who has finished the game says that there is a cave that is next to Hearthome City, but when I look for it, I cannot find it. Thanks for any help - this was written by me (mom) for my desperate 8 year-old!

If I recall correctly you need to go into Mount Coronet from the Hearthome City or Oreburgh City side, and Surf across the body of water near the exit on the Oreburgh side. Then you need to navigate through a series of areas of the mountain range to get to Spear Pillar at the top, trial and error is your friend here. Rock Smash is needed, and I think Rock Climb is too, but I'm not certain.

Thanks for your reply... might you know where that body of water is.. thats where we seem to be stuck..! You said near the exit on the Oreburgh side.. any other landmarks, or are we completely missing the boat! (pun intended)

We are stuck at Valor Lake Front where a guy is stopping us.. how do we get past him? Is there a cave?

Well lake Valor holds Azelf I believe, but I dont think this is what you are looking for. To get into lake Valor, you need to go to mount coronet I think or beat Galactic base. Its pretty obvious how to do it if you follow the storyline.

How many badges do you have? And has you gone through the section of the storyline where Team Galactic release Azelf, Mesprit, and Uxie (the three psychic legendaries) from their caves in the lakes, yet?
