So, the PS Blog, and IGN are starting to offer beta codes. Which means the demo, (and ultimately the game) isn't far off.

I'm 95% positive I'll be getting it, I think Tom will be getting it. Anyone else gonna grab it so we can have some GW fun?

And not like GW Crash Commando fun that never happened? I'm going to have to see it in action before deciding to buy it. It looks awesome but I'm not sure.

So I managed to get into the Fat Princess Beta! It's very fun! Hard to get used to, a little bit. But once you figure out what's going on, it's very enjoyable.

Well, I just tried it online. There were only like 6 real people on the server I was on. And it was pretty laggy. And it seems as though (in this here beta mode), there are a lot of bugs. Someone took the Princess and kept her trapped between the two castles and no one could find her.

I asked you this on PSN Cole but thought I might as well ask it here; what is this? I've never heard of it.

It's capture the flag, but instead of a flag, it's a Princess. Has a lot of elements of TF2, what with the classes and the upgrades and the things. It really has to be seen, go watch a video of it.

I thought it was an RTS?

Just seen a gameplay video, and it looks really promising. Certainly not an RTS, though you do collect resources and such. Looks like a simplified fantasy version of TF2, which is no bad thing.

Yeah, I don't generally like classifying video games like that. Without being first person, it really reminds me a lot of what the Team Fortress games are all about. And its' a lot of fun, a lot of little quirky things.

Like you can actually feed the Princess cake which makes her fatter and thus more hard to carry for the opposing team. It's a lot of fun.

I noticed that. It looks like a lot of fun to play, which is the bottom line. My only query is how long the matches will take. The maps look huge, and the princess doesn't look particularly easy to shift.

Well, the beta map isn't that big. And it depends how many players are there. With the full 32 players, it can take a little while if people know what they're doing. But smaller can be easier.

And the Princess is only hard to move if she's fed. If you don't out any of the "hats" on (which are each class), you're essentially a scout. No weapons, little health, very fast. When the round starts, I tend to just bolt straight for the princess and try to make it back before they can stop me. With few enough people you can do that easily. It's a lot of fun no matter how long it takes.

I haven't seen footage of this game since it was announced and back then it looked like an RTS to me. Since I'm not a big fan of RTSs I've been ignoring it. Now that I know what it really is and I've seen recent gameplay videos of it, I'm really looking forward to its release and it will probably be the first purchase I've ever made on PSN.

Yeah, as long as they fix some of the glitches Cole told me about this is a day one buy for me. It looks like so much fun.

Yeah it does seem like there are a few, but I haven't seen it since that first game.

AND STILL NO BODY HAS A MIC. I don't generally like talking to "randoms", but I was playing the other day, and actually asked if anyone had one and no one answered. :( It's the type of game where communication will be key. Maybe we can start a team/clan and dominate! Since we'll be able to communicate.

I call "Guy that kind of runs around and distracts everyone while his competent teammates do the actual work" position.
