How good does it get?

A friend of mine offered to sell me his copies of diamond and pearl for 10 dollars, which is a good deal either way, but wouldn't be if I don't enjoy them.

My daughter broke my DS a year ago, roughly and I was a big fan of the series early entries (Red-Gold)
Would I like Platinum or Diamond and Pearl?

If hes gonna sell u those for 10 bucks then i say go for it!
I liked the older games too, I still got Blue and Gold (they're the only reason i keep my gameboy advance)
Diamond/Pearl are great poke games, one of the best things about them (I think) is the wifi.
I think if u like battling REAL people u would LOVE this.

Most of the Pokémon games follow the same basic storyline - defeat all the gyms and ecome league champion, stopping some evil bad guys in the process. So chances are if you liked any of the earlier games you'll like the new games as well.
