Read this (http://krisszupa.wordpress.com/2009/02/06/breaking-possible-blink-182-reunion-announced/) and try not to crap your pants.

It makes me very happy :D

Of course it was going to happen, they all realized that Blink 182 was the only reason people cared about the three of them.

I hope it's along the lines of what the self titled album was. I really liked that one.

Part of my wonders if they will have trouble bringing back the same formula, if that's what they even try to do

This is good news indeed. Like Bird Flu, I would like them to do something similar to their last album. The more mature style really suits them.

I just listened to the Self Titled album and my opinion is this (and i'm likely gonna get some bad rep for this):

Most of the songs from blink-182 albums before Enema sound the same and are substanceless two minute interchangable punk songs.

After Enema they became a little more mature, and their self titled album was their most mature and best in my opinion. It still had the punk feel but the lyrics were interesting and thought provoking in some occasions.

Eh, for what they are I think all the blink CDs are great. The earlier stuff is just kids playing punk songs about being kids and having fun doing it, not much to expect and they deliver what they want. I like the singles off Enema better than Takeoff, but I think Takeoff is a better put together album than Enema, it flows better. Personally I love the untitled album, and other than Feeling This I can't say it's even fair to compare it to their old albums because they have entered a new genre at that point.

I think Dude Ranch is their best because it was just more raw. The others felt like singles plus filler. Still good to listen to, though.

I haven't listened to them in a long time. I didn't like the self-titled album because it sounded like too many other things that were popular that year, as if they weren't Blink anymore and wanted to fit the mold. My favorites were Enema of the State and Take Your Pants Off and Jacket. I liked how in Enema all of the songs ran together.

I'm glad they are getting back together though. I didn't like anything they did in their other projects with the exception of one Box Car Racer song.

I don't know, I found their latest album to be pretty unique, Mark, Travis, and Tom together can produce some very original sounds

What is the usual length of album production? If they're recording it this year, when could we expect to see it on the shelves?

Most likely the end of the year. There always seems to be a 6-8 month wait after it is finished before its released.

And now it's official! If you guys didn't see the grammys, blink presented the best rock album award and said they were back together, making music again :-)

They posted a blog on the Space today, saying they're back and then some.

I'm stoked.

Hopefully they can stick together this time. They made some real catchy and heartfelt songs.

Im so late to this but I'm excited. I really really liked the direction(not so much the sound) of self titled. It was a great record. I remember reading somewhere that they had set the bar pretty high after that album and they wanted to deliver so good stuff for the fans.

They're older and more mature now and I guess we can expect their music to be as well.

Most people saw self titled as a betrayal I guess, I loved it though.
