Trees?

I recently bought fallout 3 and I was listening to the radio when I heard 3 dog mention that he has seen real green trees in the capital wasteland and that they are there. Is this really true?

it's for the quest oasis.

thats all I really know as I haven't really completed it either :(...but I don't know where the oasis is.

Yes, it's a location called Oasis.The location is 02 on the map in this thread (http://forums.gamewinners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=574751), and is nestled among a bunch of tall rocks forming a small canyon.

Spoilers: The backstory is really quite confusing, but as far as I could tell this one guy named Harold used to go around wearing a tree on his head. He then stumbled across some toxic waste or some other such nuclear byproduct that caused the tree to merge with him, until it slowly consumed his entire body. Harold is now stuck in the middle of Oasis where all this renewed plant life has sprung up around him, prompting a group of druids to begin worshiping him as a god. The main quest of Oasis revolves around Harold asking you to kill him to put an end to his misery.

At least I think so; I may have been experimenting with Jet at the time...

It is way up north. In the middle pretty much. There is not much up there. So if you come across the giant sat-com towers, then head east.
