I'm in love with Slayer. Is anybody else here a fan?
Some discussion questions:
Favorite album?
Favorite song?
Favorite guitar solo?
Best lyrics?
Worst song?

Favorite album: Reign In Blood
Favorite song: Angel Of Death or Postmortem, or War Ensemble, or Disciple, can't decide!
Favorite guitar solo: Necrophobic
Best lyrics: Angel Of Death
Worst song: Don't know because I don't listen to a lot of their stuff.
I like Slayer but they can become repetitive and boring very quickly. Reign In Blood and Seasons In The Abyss are in my opinion the best albums. They're probably the only ones I can listen to the whole way through.
I'd still like to go see them live one day...

I've always been partial to God Hates Us All, however lyrics-wise my favorite song is "Ghost Of War".
I just like the tempo, pacing, theme...etc. I can't listen to too much Slayer at once. They're best in small doses.

I can listen to the Reign in Blood album three times in a row without getting bored, but no other Slayer album can I do that with. I LOVE the song Disciple.

I'm not a massive fan and can't listen to a whole album but if a Slayer song comes on when I'm using Shuffel I usually enjoy it. Though I saw them live and it was a massive let down. Don't know what it was but they were just horrible and the only sing that sounded half good was Reign in Blood.

Reign in Blood is the name of the album, Raining Blood is the song ;)
I too would imagine that Tom would be a letdown vocally live. I can see them having really good energy and playing great, but I'm not sure that Tom would do a great job. I mean it seems really tough to play that kind of music and sing at the same time, and after doing it for 20 years I bet he'd get burned out a bit. Megadeth and Metallica are different because they've changed their styles at time, but Slayer has been very consistent.

Meh should pay more attention to song titles.
It wasn't the vocals it was over all they were just... bland when I saw them. Granted it was at Download but still, you would have thought they would have put more effort in than it seemed they did. Which is a shame really because I was quite excited to see them. At least Machine Head did not let me down.

South of Heaven is probably my favourite, it has two of my favourite Slayer tracks on it: "Mandatory Suicide" and "Ghosts of War". The breakdown and drum fill in the latter part of "Ghosts of War" gives me goosebumps every time.

Favorite guitar solo? Angel of Death
Best lyrics? Aggressive Perfector
Worst song? ummm... pretty much everything off of Diabolus In Musica... I know I might get flamed for saying it... but by far their worst album.
