So today I finally listened to the whole "The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust" cd by David Bowie. I had never listened to Bowie before and I absolutely loved the cd the whole thing was just phenomenal for me. Seeing as I've never listened to Bowie before now I don't know where to tread next in his huge discography. So I'm looking for some suggestions.

Definitely try "Diamond Dogs", it's based on the the George Orwell book 1984 and is probably my favourite Bowie record. "Chant of the Ever Circling Skeletal Family" is awesome.

I'd go with Hunky Dory as it has that piano/acoustic Bowie sound. "Changes" is the most familiar track perhaps, but I'd recommend "Life On Mars" as well.

I suggest going forward an album or two further to Space Oddity. It's very delicious and off the beat for the time period. Especially in the wake of Zeppelins budding visage. Also of interest, David Bowie is the leader of The Guild of Calamitous Intent.
