Two questions

I saw it as soon as i posted it.. thanks.. I tried getting to the Citadel. i went into a building of protecterons. couldn't find my way there can you tell me how to get there?

Use the map marker. The small shining and blinking arrow thing in your radar. Or whatever you call it in the game. Where you see enemies and NPC's. Just make sure you have the quest active and just follow the marker to get to GNR.

Following in His Footsteps will take you to Galaxy News Radio.

Galaxy News Radio is on the side of a courtyard with a big statue in the middle in downtown DC. You'll run into some Brotherhood on the way there who will help you get to Galaxy News Radio and help you fight on the way there.

You'll get to the Citadel later on through the storyline, I believe. They might not even let you in unless you have a reason to (thus the storyline). It's in the south east of the DC ruins, due East of Rivet City across the river I believe.

The GNR building is somewhat unremarkable, so you could be forgiven for not noticing it. But it is in the square as Ben said, and if you've got there through the campaign storyline there should be a fairly significant and memorable fight.

I knew were GNR is and somehow i ended up with one of the Brothers fatboy and nuked the behemoth. I just wanted to get Star Paladin Cross and power armor training.

You get the power armor training from the Brotherhood citadel, which you will gain access to during the course of the main quest.
