I don't listen to techno so I can't recommend anything. Though Sandstorm by Da Rude might be something you'd like.

Black Lab:
"Ecstasy" - I think Last.fm offered this as a free download long ago; dunno if it's still there

Daft Punk:
the Discovery album (especially "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" and "One More Time")
"Technologic" from the Human After All album
"Da Funk" from the Homework album

Darude:
"Touch Me Feel Me" from the Before the Storm album

Thanks. I have the Kanye West Remix of "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger. (I Don't like Kanye West, just that song.)

Punted.

Is that a song, or the thread being moved?

One more thing, see under my name? It says Registered User, how do I change that to what I want it to say?

Well, there's a lot out there, and I suppose it depends on what your tastes are. Do you like or hate Moby?

Do you like trance, house, acid house, etc.?

I mean, some of Aphex Twin's early tracks are considered techno, though I'm not really sure how accurate that is.

Do you prefer things that are more danceable?

I'm a fan of Hostpital Records and RAMRecords. I like drum and bass. Personally, I can link to some of the stuff I like.

Hey blitz...you ever heard µ-Ziq, Plug, or Photek? Pretty good D&B there.

This seems to be a little general....we could probably go into extreme depth here, and at the same time get you nowhere, Enigma.

Try Pendulum. Best Drum and Bass I've ever heard. Try the songs Slam, Blood Sugar and The Terminal Boss.

I like some House music, love Rave music. BEST RAVE SONG I'VE EVER HEARD IS "Pretty Rave Girl" by I Am X-Ray.

I listen to a variety of music. Metal, Death Metal, Techno, Rave, Rap, Ska, Alternative, anything not Classical, R&B (Damn you Chris Brown!), or Country. :bashhead::bashhead:GOD, I F'n HATE COUNTRY:bashhead::bashhead:

Pendulum's pretty good, but it's just slightly too subtle for my tastes. Plug's, AFX's, and µ-Ziq's insanity is what I like.

Although I love R&B and the occasional classical, I'm going to have to agree with you on country.

I can keep up.

If you say so...

Now, LET IT BEGIN:

Acid House - This might be my favorite type of electronica/dance, it's defined by the TB-303 synthesizer.
Luke Vibert: - One of my all time favorite artists, he's behind Plug, Wagon Christ, (his own name) and more. He's also a good friend of Aphex Twin.

Braindance
µ-Ziq: Another good friend of Aphex Twin and Luke Vibert, Mike Paradinas' stuff can vary quite a lot.

Aphex Twin: I don't think he needs any introduction. Like, at all. Don't let the videos creep you out though...

I'm going to suggest Windowlicker, but due to the questionable content Aphex's video, I'm not going to post the actual link.

Uh....that's all I can think of right now, but I think that's plenty for you to chew on.

I don't really like Pendulum, tbh. They're too "rock starish" for my tastes. Though the album "Hold your Colour" was good. Also, I think Tiki was asking what genre you were most into. There's hard style which you juts stomp too, and then trance and happy hardcore where you can dance. It just helps to know what kind of music you're looking for, instead of asking for everyone's personal preference.

blitz is right. Electronic music is one of the most diverse genres of all, at least speaking in number of sub genre's. If you're thinking of the stereotypical term "techno," that's not specific enough. But if you're talking about the actual genre that isn't true to the publicly believed definition techno, then that gives us more to work from.

Specifics are a good thing laddie!

Hmm... if you like "rave music", try out DJ Robbo

The Presets are the only band I know that's remotely techno, and I'm not completely sure they are.
But check out "My People" and "Are You the One?"

Pendulum is not famous here at all. Only reason I know about them is Motorstorm. Acid music is pretty good, but theres Acid everything. Acid Trance and Acid Rock (JEMI HENDRIX!!!!!!!) are my favorite. I love Trance, try ------->Infected Mushrooms<-------- best new artist I've found. I found someone named Astix and someone named Atomic Pulse.

Their pretty good, but pretty mellow. Then I started downloading Builder - "Her Voice (Remix)". It's very good, but I can't find anything else by them. Then theres Hardstyle.

Here in America, Metal has the most diverse genres. Anything here that has beeping or the like, is considered Techno or Rave, and nothing else. I don't like House too much acctually. Every time I think of it, two German people with mohawks and shiny, tight, sweat suits doing the robot pop up in my mind.:monkey::monkey::uk: I bet you guys see us as brutes who rock out to metal and are crazy.

Uh...I'm American, I hope you realize....

But, yes. That's what really pisses me off, Americans (as a whole) know NOTHING about electronic music. I mean, my all-time favorite electronic Artists are Chris Joss, Metro Area and Kelley Polar, and Luke Vibert. But to America, Chris Joss is just some french guy, and Metro Area and Kelley Polar aren't even known, and, of course, Luke Vibert is British. Metro Area is quite famous in Europe, even though they're from and stationed in New York.

I'm not sure your thinking of the correct type of house if you're getting that image, care to give a sample of what you think is house?

Particular songs? I don't really have any recommendations, as most are as good as the others, for the most part, as long as there aren't any lyrics.

My favorite electronic acts are Infected Mushroom and Astral Projection.

I was talking about Electro, I know you've seen that commercial where the guy is stuck in Germany with "The Techno Twins".

Yeah I just downloaded Windowlicker, it's awesome. Is Windowlicker a kind of remix of another song or does it use a song in it. It reminds me so much of another song, but I can't remember. It sort of reminds me of a Mirrors Edge song, but I'm not sure. I also downloaded the theme song from Cowboy Bebop (Pretty good show) called Tank! and found the remix by Luke Vibert.
Tank! (Luke Vibert remix) - If you've haven't heard it, try it.

what you think is house?

House is kind of based on disco with Drum & Bass and ussually a synthisyzer in it, isn't it?

Vicious!
