Genre Singers?

Well, my favorite Genre of music is rock opera, or metal opera, or whatever it's called.

Basically, music by the Old Nightwish (New stuff is ok, but not the same), and Alenka Gotar, for example. Does anyone know any other artists that do the same kind of music? Preferrably the voice be a female soprano, or however it's named.

I don't know why I like the two together.

Some bands that you might like, After Forever, Lacuna Coil, Within Temptation, Tristania, Sirenia, Leaves' Eyes, Delain, Tarja Turunen(her solo stuff is pretty good), Epica, and Elis. That is all I can think of right now.

I could be off here but are you looking for a rock/metal opera?

If so I reccomend the band Avantasia. It's led by Edguy singer Tobias Sammett, but he brings in a ton of singers. They have three albums, A Metal Opera Part 1, and Part 2, and The Scarecrow. I haven't heard part 1 but I really like the Scarecrow.

I think he means Symphonic Metal, seeing as that is what Nightwish is listed as, well technically Symphonic Power Metal. Of course I could be wrong too.

Tarja Turunen(her solo stuff is pretty good)

I have a couple by Tarja, she's awesome. :) I think she's better with Nightwish, but she's also amazing on her own.

Oh, and this doesn't have to be in english, if anyone knows anyone else.
