I saw an Atari Jaguar in one of the local trade-in shops the other day, I was wondering if it was worth buying. I know that they have Wolfenstein and Alien Vs. Predator, (big draw-ins for me,) but I want to know if it's really worth it.

Depends if it is within your price range. I would think the games might not impress you if your into the newer consoles, but you might like some games if you enjoy the retros. If you're a collector I would definitely get it. I hear it's not quite as good as N64 but it's kinda like the Sega CD.

I got mine for $50 with:

Cybermorph (crap)
Alien Vs Predator (Hasn't aged so well, but unique)
Doom (good at the time...7 years ago. There are better versions now)
Wolfenstein 3D (Try to find a better version)
Theme Park (Not bad, also not on SNES)
Iron Soldier (Who gives a crap?)
Raiden (Good shooter, but not "must own")
Syndicate (Never cared enough to even try it)

I'll say that I wouldn't pass up thatkind of deal. I bought it because I'm 27 and it has the FPS games I grew up on. I'm still a huge fan of Doom and Wolfenstein, but I find them kind of tedious on Jaguar.

You can get Wolfenstein for cheap on GBA, or even play it with the GBA player on Gamecube. If you buy Doom 3 collectors edition for Xbox (I'm playing it right now) you get superior versions of Doom and Doom 2. I got it for $14, which is nothing for 3 Doom games). AVP is unique, but seriously, the level design will make you puke. Everything looks the same. I have spent hours in the Alien ship just going in circles. It's tough to stomach.

There aren't any other games worth buying for the system (I work at a game store, and I've seen them all). They all look like garbage ported from Sega's 32X.

Don't get me wrong. I bought it when I was 19 and had money to spend. I don't regret it, and it's kind of fun. Now I'm almost 30, and if I had the same offer I'd turn it down cuz it's pretty crappy.
Do what you wanna do.
