My friend owns a Super Nintendo and was interested in selling it to me. He was offering me it for $80. He has a second controller and games he was going to throw in. The only good one that I know he has was Super Mario World. Is this a good deal for me?

It sounds kind of a rip off to me, you can get the cheaper off ebay, half and amazon. Shop around those places and set the price you're willing to pay off of that.

Seems alright to me, I've seen new snes systems for $60. Considering the 2 controls and few games, it might be a good idea. Especially since the price of Super Mario World keeps increasing.

You can still get SMW for less than ten bucks off half (used of course)...i saw where u could get a system NEW for 35 bucks, its the FC twin that plays BOTH SNES and NES games...so I would NOT pay that price your friend is offering...unless any of the other games are any good. Although shipping for a system from half is 15 bucks...remember that.

35 BUCKS!!! Nice. I guess some places are more generous than others!

You could get a SNes for 35-40 bucks without even having to look hard. The controller is seriously worth 5 bucks (new ones are everywhere for 7-10 bucks). Mario world is commonly worth between 12-20 bucks depending on how hard you look.

And remember, he won't make any money pawning it or putting it on e-bay. Since it's a private deal between you two, my advice is:

Don't pay more than $60 bucks or you're getting ripped.
