Return of Lego
June 19th, 2008, 12:39 PM
This will be a come-one-come-all thread. I'll put up three questions per post. Once at least two are answered, the scores will be tallied, and the third will be put in the next post for double points.

All answers are subject to my discretion. Points that are not posted with the question will be worth one point. Also, most posts will have a central theme to them, like music.

Let's Start!

Q1: What is the first line in Journey's song, "Don't Stop Believin'? (1 point)

Q2: Give me the name of any album by the band Anthrax. (2 points)

Q3: What does P.O.D. stand for? (3 points)

SCOREBOARD:

PRUSSIA AND EVERY FORM OF PRUSSIA IS NOT THE ANSWER.

But the others are right though.

Q2: Where did Seth Green get his first breakthrough? (4 Pts)

Q1:Der Stechschritt [1] (literally: piercing step), commonly known in English speaking countries as "the Goose-Step", is a special form of military step, which is usually demonstrated in solemn military parades and passes in review of closed units. The marching troops swing their legs from a vertical leg to a nearly horizontally-extending one, bringing it down with a loud simultaneous stepping noise and continuing the cycle in unison. It emerged from Prussian drilling regulation during the early 19th Century.

Thats from Wikipedia. I think who ever said Prussia deserves the points or me.

Tiki

Alright, Wikipedia has its good things, and then it has its bad things. The Goose Step did not Originate in Prussia, but it did have a presence there. The Goose Step first appeared with the Iranian/Persian Army, centuries and centuries ago, long before Prussia existed.

Buffy is right, though.

*sigh* No. That's not it...

The answer to that question is....AWW F*CK.

I just realized I made a horrendous mistake....

The question that I think I was supposed to ask is why is the Super Bowl, called the Super Bowl? and that's because at a "special" Football Game, a coach was with his son at the game, and he had a super ball, and so he nick-named the game the Super Bowl....

Man...can't believe that I just realized that....for that, you all get 10 free points....for whatever that's worth...

But by that standard, would you view Zealandia as a continent? New Zealand is on a different plate to Australia and therefore isn't part of Australia's continent... However, could you honestly say that you've heard of Zealandia before I just mentioned it. I loved geography at school and was really good at it, but until I was researching, I was under the distinct impression that Zealandia and Australia were just grouped as Oceania or Australasia, and I hadn't even heard of Zealandia... That's what was confusing but like I said, I'm not gonna argue against it because the views all over the web are very unclear in the area... It is nevertheless interesting though...
