Hey everyone, I'm having troubles with my multi-tap and I was hoping somebody out there might know whats going on. So, I'm not new to SNES gaming by any means. I am how ever the new owner of a Tribal Multi-Tap. It works great on a couple of my supported games: NBA Jam, WWF RAW, etc. However, what I really want to use it with is NHL '96, but even though I have 4 controllers plugged in and the Multi-Tap is switched on like it was for the other games that did work, it is only allowing me to use players 1 and 2 as if I'm not using a Multi-Tap at all. If anybody has had a similar experience and can help me out I would really appreciate it. A response to this post or even a quick PM with advice would be great. Thanks in advance.

Well if the multitap works for other games and the game in question is multiplayer compatible than it must be something to do with the game. My multitap works good for games like bomberman but I haven't tried any sports games on it yet.

Thanks for replying. Well, a while back I found out that, even though a variety of sites like Wikipedia and some lists on gamefaq type sites have NHL '96 listed as a multitap compatible game, it is in fact limited to 2 players. It seems that the only 4 player NHL games are '94 and '98, and that EA took away 4 player compatibility for '95, '96, and '97 in between.
