There was this game that I played almost 8 years ago. I think it was called Hollywood. Basically it was a game where you would control these cartoon characters around this fake senery and wrote your own script. After you wrote the script you could watch you movie come to life. I think that I got it in one of those scholastic book catalogs that teachers give to little kids. If you have any idea of what it is please let me know. I know it is not just a figment of my imagination cause 3 of my best friends know about it but it was so long ago that no one can rember the exact title or find and sign of it due to the fact that we got it when we were in 4th grade and we are graduates now.

There are newer games that have a similar feel.

Try "The Movies", a game made by activision, or lionhead studious I can't remember. It also has an exp, "Stunts and Effects"

Try em. They're fun.

Are you thinking of "Microsoft 3D Move Maker" by any chance?

Was a fairly old release somewhere around the early to mid 90's, and had random pages from a book hidden throughout various parts of the movie sets or screens to find as a side setting to just messing about making your own movies.

Not sure if it helkps but if it was Microsoft 3D MOvie Maker it would have looked something along the lines of this:
