Long story short, I started my DP game over.

So I got sick of using the usual pokemon, and decided I would catch a Buneary (lv 10). I began raising it like all my other pokemon until it learned Frustration a short time later. I thought to myself, "A powerful move like this early in the game? Nice!"

From then on, I was the biggest bastard trainer to it that I could possibly be (completely forgetting that it evolves through happiness). I went all out, and out of my way to mistreat the poor guy. Made it lose battles, faint from poisoning, fed it bitter herbs and powders every opportunity until I ran out of cash. I even gave it beatings every five minutes. Sure, I let it win a battle every now and then for experience points, but I made sure it would feel like the worst pokemon ever.

It evolved from exuberant happiness at lv 15.

... :omg:

Wha...HUH?? Now I knew there was something wrong when Frustration was getting so much weaker, but it was happy? Seriously, I think I'm dealing with a masochist devil bunny!!

But I caught it with a Premier Ball. I suppose this would be a good time to ask: Does the Premier Ball give a supercharge to happiness?

::The above story was added for effect :P::

I dunno, but you could just use Return as it's much easier to make something happy then it is to abuse it. I dunno about the happiness stuff.

Premier Ball shouldn't affect happiness, as it just a ball for good measure. Luxury Ball, however, affects happiness.
